Our Gorleston Office Is Moving

27th November 2019

Finance Shop's custom-built premises

We are very pleased to announce the opening of our new office, located on Morton Peto Road on the Harfrey's Industrial Estate in Great Yarmouth. On 2nd December 2019 we will relocate our Baker Street office to custom-built premises, representing a significant investment in the local area.

Our Baker Street office has been in situ since the early 90's and was Finance Shop's very first office. Originally offering Mortgage Advice, the company has grown and diversified significantly over the last five years and is now one of the region’s leading Independent Financial Advisers. As a result, we have outgrown the old premises.

Our dedicated staff at Finance Shop are continually supported to develop and achieve, with staff obtaining over 30 industry qualifications in 2019

With this move, we will significantly increase our office space, with 3 meeting rooms, a large board room and state of the art technology throughout to provide the very best client experience. This will be home to 15 members of staff, with plenty of room for further growth.

The building, “William Fleming House”, is named in honour of the Gorleston lifeboatman, who served on the lifeboat through the latter years of the 19th century and spanning the first four decades of the 20th century. He was in his late 50’s when he became coxswain in 1922, a post he held until 1934.

Over his 49 years of service he helped to rescue 1,188 people and was awarded an RNLI Gold medal for his part in the rescue of the Hopelyn.

Members of the station opened the building on November 15th and Finance Shop donated £5,000 on the day to aid the lifeboat station’s work.

In many ways this new office building will embody everything Finance Shop stands for. Forward-thinking, progressive and investing in the people and local communities it serves.
